WAJ Students took field trips in June to Sugar Maples, and they had a great time learning about natural agriculture, planting methods, and making bracelets with leaves and flowers! The farm was also hosting two adult student interns in residence who came to study farming for several weeks. They participated in educating the children on farming and its history. One of the interns commented that he was happy the students transplanted tomatoes, as it gives a sense of ownership and confidence. He remarked that “hopefully they will be interested in growing more plants at home and in school.”
